MAC TOOLS® INTRODUCES THE MACSIMIZER ™ POWER DRAWER TOOL BOX

A state-of-the-art tool box to store and charge you power tools and house your computer

Columbus, OH – August 12, 2011 – Mac Tools® introduces the Macsimizer™ Power Drawer Tool Box (part number MB7432). The Power Drawer Tool Box has all of the same great features of the current Macsimizer™ Series line, including a “Uni-Key” Lock System that provides easy, one-turn operation to lock all drawers with a single key, a ball-bearing slide drawer retention system that featuresadjustable detents that can handle 12-lbs. to 24-lbs. of force and recessed drawer pulls for easy access and a clean look to all of the drawers. In addition, the Macsimzer™ Power Drawer tool box is complete with a power drawer to store and charge cordless power tools, a laptop drawer and also comes completely pre-wired. The MB7432 is 74” wide and 32” deep, which allows for a 29” deep drawer.

The Power Drawer, located at the bottom right of the box, has a 110V power strip which can accommodate up to four battery chargers, which allows the user to store and charge cordless power tools tools securely at the same time. The laptop drawer located at the upper right of the box is 21” wide, 16” deep and 1.87” tall and has two 110V outlets, a USB port and Internet hook-up. The drawer has a unique soft touch, spring loaded, push-to-open feature to allow an easy to open option if your hands are full. The front of the drawer folds down to easily access the keyboard of a laptop. Both, the power drawer and the laptop drawer, lock securely when you lock the box, so there is only one key needed. The box also is completely pre-wired and a 10-ft. power cord is included to plug in the box to a wall outlet. Located in the back of the box is the connection for the USB, ethernet wire and the power outlet.

The Macsimizer™ Power Drawer tool box has 43,964 cubic inches (11,107 square inches) of storage, two 66.5” w x 29” deep extra wide large top drawers (2.5” tall and 4.75” tall). The MB7432 will be available in September of 2011 through a ® Distributor. This tool box will come in all 10 of the Mac Tools® color choices and will accommodate any Macsimizer™ Series top box or hutch and side cabinet.

EXPLANATION OF TERMS
Basis of Load Rating
1. Maximum permissible load for a pair of side mounted slides.
2. Center of gravity of load centered between and at the midpoint of the drawer members.
3. Based on 10,000 cycle dynamic tests.
4. Includes 100% static safety factor.
5. Load ratings are based on side mounting the slides.
6. Undermount of the slides is not recommended and reduces load carrying capacity to about 1/4 of the side mount capacity.
Side space
The amount of room necessary between the drawer side and the cabinet or the chassis and the rack. The side space dimension is critical for optimal smooth movement. Special brackets are available to reduce the side space required in an electronics rack with model 305A-LR. These brackets allow a portion of the slide to be mounted behind the vertical rail.
Travel (Extension)
3/4 Extension ~ Drawer opens partially, approximately 3/4 of the total slide length.
Full Extension ~ Drawer opens the same amount as the slide length.
Over Travel ~ Drawer opens further than the length of the slide. This allows the drawer to pull completely out of the cabinet providing access to the entire drawer.
Disconnect
Allows the drawer or chassis to be removed from the case or rack. A lever or latch must be actuated before the drawer can be removed from the cabinet.
Detent
Holds the slide open or closed until extra force is applied to overcome the detent.
Locks
Secures the slide in position. A lever or latch must be actuated to move the slide. A lock-out feature assists servicing components without removing the unit from the enclosure. A lock-in feature prevents drawers from opening until a latch is actuated.
Optional Bracket Mounting
Optional brackets are available to make it easier to mount slides in an electronics rack or enclosure. Please refer to rack mounting accessories.
