Dark Prophecy is a really good follow up to Dark Origins. While Dark Origins introduced Steve Dark and the startling story of his life and search for his nemesis Sqweegel, it had some nagging problems. Little things like having eastern European characters call everyone 'my friend' every three sentences. The dialogue was at times stilted. I think if you are already using Counterspell, this makes Dark Prophecy more attractive. Defiance: If there are 2 skull tokens (or 2 of another symbol of your choice) out of 16 total, Dark Prophecy increases the chance of drawing one from 12.5% to 54.2%, a 41.7% increase which means 2 out of 5 times will create a new hit for you. Discover a 2-Cost minion. Summon it and give it +3 Health.
It's always a dark prophecy with Madame Lazul. Where's my happy, fluffy prophecy?!
Dark Prophecy is a rarepriestspell card, from the Galakrond's Awakening set.
How to get[edit | edit source]
Two copies of regular Dark Prophecy are obtained by defeating Kriziki the Winged in Galakrond's Awakening's Chapter 1 of Explorers campaign.
Once the regular version has been obtained, both regular and golden versions can be crafted and disenchanted.
Card | Crafting cost | Disenchanting |
---|---|---|
Dark Prophecy | 100 | 20 |
Golden Dark Prophecy | 800 | 100 |
Strategy[edit | edit source]
A lot of the value from this card comes from the RNG of getting a good 2-cost minion. Cards with negative Battlecries such as Injured Tol'vir or Millhouse Manastorm are perfect choices to summon, since their effects will not be triggered. Other good picks are minions with strong Deathrattles, Triggered effects, or even Taunt. The extra 3 Health means that the summoned minion could potentially work well with Divine Spirit and Inner Fire, but remember that you might get minions with horrible base Health.

Dark Prophecy Apollo
Dark Prophecies are rare and not well understood.
TGH,Ch7
The Myrddraal writes the Dark Prophecy on the wall of the prison in the Fal Dara keep when Padan Fain is freed. It is not certain if it is truly prophetic or if it is merely evil ramblings. Most of the interpretation is clear.
Daughter of the Night,1 she walks again.
The ancient war, she yet fights.
Her new lover2 she seeks, who shall serve her and die, yet serve still.
Who shall stand against her coming?
The Shining Walls3 shall kneel.
Blood feeds blood.
Blood calls blood.
Blood is, and blood was, and blood shall ever be.
The man who channels2 stands alone.
He gives his friends for sacrifice.
Two roads before him, one to death beyond dying, one to life eternal.
Which will he choose? Which will he choose?
What hand shelters? What hand slays?
(refrain)
Videos For Dark Prophecy
Luc came to the Mountains of Dhoom.
Isam waited in the high passes.
The hunt is now begun. The Shadow's hounds now course, and kill.
One did live, and one did die, but both are.4
The Time of Change5 has come.
(refrain)
Dark Prophecy Quiz
The Watchers wait on Toman's Head.
The seed of the Hammer6 burns the ancient tree.7
Death shall sow, and summer burn, before the Great Lord comes.
Death shall reap, and bodies fail, before the Great Lord comes.
Again the seed slays ancient wrong, before the Great Lord comes.
Now the Great Lord comes.
(refrain)
ToM,Epilogue
This is the passage from the book of Dark Prophecy that Moridin shows to Graendal.
'Lo, it shall come upon the world that the prison of the Greatest One
shall grow weak, like the limbs of those who crafted it. Once again, His
glorious cloak shall smother the Pattern of all things, and the Great
Lord shall stretch forth His hand to claim what is His. The rebellious
nations shall be laid barren, their children caused to weep. There shall
be none but Him, and those who have turned their eyes to His majesty.
In that day, when the One-Eyed Fool travels the halls of mourning,8 and
the First Among Vermin9 lifts his hand to bring freedom to Him who
will Destroy, the last days of the Fallen Blacksmith's pride shall come.
Yea, and the Broken Wolf, the one whom Death has known, shall fall and
be consumed by the Midnight Towers.10 And his destruction shall bring
fear and sorrow to the hearts of men, and shall shake their very will itself.
And then shall the Lord of the Evening come. And He shall take our
eyes, for our souls shall bow before Him, and he shall take our skin, for
our flesh shall serve Him, and He shall take our lips, for only Him will
we praise. And the Lord of the Evening shall face the Broken Champion,11
and shall spill his blood and bring us the Darkness so beautiful. Let the
screams begin, O followers of the Shadow. Beg for your destruction!

- ToM,Ch4 - Moridin shows Graendal a book of Dark Prophecy. A passage says that Perrin will die by their hand.
Notes
- Probably a reference to the Tree of Life being the symbol of the lands near Toman Head.
- The One-Eyed Fool must be Mat, but it is not clear what is meant by the halls of mourning.
- It is not clear if the First Among Vermin is Moridin working to free the Dark One or Rand breaking the seals.
- Does this mean Perrin will fall to the Seanchan?
