After a lengthy public beta test period, Fidelity Media today announced the official release of MegaSeg 2.1 for Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.

Fidelity Media bills MegaSeg as “the Mac’s premiere music mixing and cataloging software for professional DJs, radio stations, theater production, aerobic and dance instructors, restaurant and business background music, or anyone who needs powerful control over their music mix.”

The new version of MegaSeg sports more than 100 improvements, according to the developer. Mac OS X compatibility, new display options, VU meters, support for Drag & Drop, improved mixer controls, automatic gain control, increased library size, and easy iPod and iTunes import options are just a small number of the total improvements in MegaSeg 2.1. In addition to its other capabilities, MegaSeg even features video playback capabilities via QuickTime.

MegaSeg 2.1 carries a retail price of US$149. MegaSeg 2.1 itself is offered as a free upgrade for MegaSeg 2.0 users. A demo is available for download from the MegaSeg Web site if you’d like to try before you buy.

MegaSeg 6 has for many years carved a niche for itself with hospitality businesses and radio DJs, but is also adept at handling the needs of mobile and corporate VJ/DJs too. MegaSeg, the radio automation and DJ mixing platform for Mac, has just had a major upgrade to version 6, with a new interface and dozens of new features and improvements. MegaSeg is the advanced DJ & VJ mixer for Mac, iTunes and Music.app, built from the ground up to be solid, elegant, and totally macOS native. It’s the perfect DJ app for your Apple MacBook, iMac, or Mac Mini.

MegaSeg is a DJ music mixing program that allows you to consolidate your CD collection on the hard drive of your Macintosh. You can then segue (mix) between songs for a professional DJ presentation. Fidelity Media releases MegaSeg 6.1 today, an important update to their MegaSeg Pro DJ and Radio Automation Software for macOS.
